Value bets, in your inbox

The scanner compares every Australian bookmaker on the same market, works out what each selection is really worth, and emails you the moment one of them is paying more than that. One email per bet, with the bookmaker and the stake in the subject line.

Subscriptions aren't switched on yet. Create a recurring Stripe Payment Link and put its URL in secrets.php as STRIPE_EV_SUB_PAYMENT_LINK, then point a Stripe webhook at /license/subscribe_hook.php. Until then this page explains the product but can't take payment. See DEPLOY.md for the exact steps.

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. This page never sees them. We email alerts to the address you check out with, and nothing else.

How it works

  1. Subscribe through Stripe. Alerts go to the email address you check out with. You'll get a confirmation straight away.
  2. Set your thresholds. On the Settings page, choose a minimum edge, your bet timing window, and your bankroll so the stake figures match what you actually bet.
  3. Alerts arrive as they're found. One email per bet, each one sent once. You won't get the same bet again the next time the scanner runs.
  4. Paste it into the Tracker. The last line of every email drops into the Bet Tracker, which records the bet tagged +EV with its fair odds and edge already filled in.

The ding, honestly

You can have a sound and a desktop notification as well as the email. Switch them on under Alerts in Settings, and set the minimum edge that's worth interrupting you for. Quiet hours are there too.

Worth being straight about the limitation: those fire while a Beat The Bookie tab is open in your browser, because that's what a web page can do. They are not push notifications to a closed laptop or a phone in your pocket. Email is the channel that always reaches you, which is why it's the one the subscription is built around.

Questions

How many alerts should I expect?
It depends entirely on your minimum edge and how much sport is on. Genuine value is uncommon and usually small, so a quiet day is a normal day, not a fault. If you set the threshold low you'll get more, most of which will be marginal.
Is this a tipping service?
No. Nothing here predicts winners. The scanner compares bookmakers against each other and flags prices that sit above the market's own consensus. Most of those bets lose, which is exactly what prices above 2.00 are supposed to do. The claim is about the price, not the result.
Do I need the Bet Tracker too?
No, they're separate. The alerts work on their own. The Tracker is a one-off purchase that records what you placed and tells you whether your edge is real, including closing line value. The paste line in every email exists to make that quick.
How do I cancel?
Use the link on the Stripe receipt you were emailed, or reply to the alert address. Alerts continue to the end of the period you've paid for and then stop. There's no lock-in and no cancellation fee.
What happens if a payment fails?
Alerts pause while Stripe retries your card. If the payment goes through they start again on their own, with no action from you.
Can I change the email address?
Reply to an alert and ask. Alerts are sent to the address on the subscription, so it needs changing on our side.
Before you subscribe. Every figure in these emails is an estimate built from other bookmakers' prices, not a prediction, and no return is guaranteed. Prices move between the alert being sent and you placing anything, so check the live price first. Betting accounts get restricted when they win, which is a cost this service cannot remove.
